Iot Monitor Solution

In modern agriculture, data-driven decision-making is transforming crop yields, resource efficiency, and environmental sustainability. At Gimasi, our IoT agriculture monitoring solution combines robust sensors, cloud analytics, and intuitive interfaces to provide real-time insights into soil, climate, and crop conditions.

Introducing Agrila

Benefits of the IoT agriculture monitoring solution

Agrila is a versatile IoT building block developed with Rilabs to support precision agriculture and smart irrigation. Designed for long-term outdoor use, it collects key soil and climate data and transmits it securely to the cloud, enabling data-driven decision-making.

By combining reliable sensor connectivity with cloud-based analytics, this IoT agriculture monitoring solution provides actionable soil and climate data for precision farming, improving irrigation efficiency and crop health.: water usage, monitor crop health, and improve farm productivity, supporting farmers, telecom providers, startups, and research organizations alike.

How Agrila Enhances Precision Farming

Agrila’s capabilities include:

  • IoT sensor integration: seamlessly connects soil moisture, weather, and environmental sensors for real-time data collection.

  • Smart irrigation support: enables precise irrigation control based on analytics to conserve water and boost crop yields.

  • Cloud connectivity: securely transmits data to cloud platforms for monitoring, AI-driven insights, and predictive modeling.

  • Multi-industry collaboration: supports telecom providers, startups, insurance companies, and research organizations to enhance data-driven agricultural decision-making.

By transforming environmental data into actionable insights, Agrila helps farms optimize resources, improve crop health, and operate more efficiently and sustainably.

Use Cases

Agricultural field with IoT-based crop and soil monitoring technologies in the greenhouse

Precision Farming in Greenhouses

A medium-sized agricultural business was managing multiple greenhouses producing high-value vegetables.  But temperature spikes, fluctuating humidity, and inconsistent lighting led to uneven growth cycles and reduced yields, especially during seasonal transitions.
By installing Agrila Smart Sensor Stations throughout their greenhouses, the company was able to monitor real-time data on temperature, humidity, CO₂, and light levels. With the internal dashboard they could automate ventilation, irrigation, and shading systems.

Remote Crop Health Monitoring

A family-run open-field farm growing seasonal crops across several hectares, needed a better way to manage irrigation and disease prevention. Over-irrigation and inconsistent soil moisture levels were causing waste, while sudden weather changes made it difficult to anticipate risks.
Once Agrila was installed, the company was able to analyze data and connect with predictive weather models, create irrigation schedules and proactively manage pest or fungus outbreaks.

Boosting Urban Farming Efficiency

A city-led initiative converting rooftops and abandoned lots into micro-farms, faced challenges in managing irrigation and crop health efficiently across multiple decentralized growing spaces. They struggled with water waste, crop variability, and high maintenance costs.

When they installed AGRILA, deployed to  collect real-time data on environmental conditions, the company was finally able to analyze the environment and provide personalized recommendations on irrigation timing, pest risk, and nutrient needs. Everithing on AGRILA’s cloud servers.

Smart Silo Management

Traditional feed and grain silos are often monitored manually, requiring on-site checks that are time-consuming, error-prone, and resource-intensive. A regional distributor, struggled with shortages, overfilled silos, and inefficient delivery planning.

GIMASI’s Level Meter was installed in each silo to provide precise, real-time measurements. The devices transmit level data directly to the GIoT cloud dashboard, where it is analyzed and displayed in intuitive visualizations. Staff can view all silo statuses remotely via desktop or mobile and receive alerts for refill thresholds or unusual activity (e.g., sudden depletion or movement).
