The Gimasi’s  Service Button  production comes from the aim of responding to Telekom’s clients in the retail sector.
Telekom needed a trusted partner to work with, able to design a digital technolgy that would help to optimize retail processes, improve customer service and cut costs.

Telekom’s  was facing a crisis in the retail sector: transport costs were too high, logistic sectors were changing for a greener approach…
The requestes were clear:
they needed a device able to optimize logistic processes, cut costs and maximize customer’s experience.

WHAT WE DID

Service Button Developing

We started the developing phase with the scope to tailor a device capable of meeting the charateristics that Telekom had requested.

Software development
: we understood that there would be an intelligent button able to start many kinds of processes instantly.
Just pushing a button, the IoT Service Button sends a message to the Cloud  Platform, that sends a response to the digital button for the previous request.
The Service Button is equipped with Temperature and Hall Sensor, optionally it can come with NFC Reader  funtionalitiy. It uses LTE-M and NB-IoT Connectivity.

THE RESULTS

Service Button Functionality

The Service Button is desgined to allow workers to manually trigger a specific event directly from their work-station. Once acrivated, thanks to the LTE-M and NB-IoT connectivity, it sends an event to the Platform. This event can trigger automated responses as:

  • real time notifications (email, alerts…)
  • assistance protocol activation
  • task or ticket creation
