Configurable Rules

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]These are pre-configured IoT Smart Rules, deigned to be triggered by the device\’s events, they can generate alarms or activate specific actions, all based on the user\’s predefined conditions

Key LM Rules and Their Functions

Rule Name Description
Battery Level Rule Triggers an alert when the battery level is critically low.
Geofence Rule Notifies when the LM moves in or out of a predefined area.
Increase Severity Rule Escalates alerts if an issue persists without resolution.
Multiple Threshold Rule Defines multiple sensor-based thresholds (e.g., liquid level, temperature, vibration).
Missing Measurement Rule Sends an alert if the LM fails to transmit data for a set period.

Use Cases for LM Rules

๐Ÿญ Industrial Liquid Level Monitoring

Rule: Multiple Threshold Rule
๐Ÿ“Œ Scenario: An LM is placed inside an oil storage tank. The rule is configured to trigger:

  • Warning Alert if the level drops below 30% โ›ฝ
  • Critical Alert if it falls below 10% ๐Ÿšจ
  • Emergency Alert if the tank reaches 5%, triggering an automatic refill request ๐Ÿ“ก

๐Ÿš› Fleet Fuel Management

Rule: Geofence Rule
๐Ÿ“Œ Scenario: A logistics company installs LMs inside fuel tanks of its trucks. If a truck enters an unauthorized location, an alert is sent to fleet managers to investigate potential fuel theft.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Cold Storage and Temperature Monitoring

Rule: Increase Severity Rule
๐Ÿ“Œ Scenario: An LM is used inside a refrigerated storage unit for vaccines. If the temperature rises above 5ยฐC:

  1. After 5 minutes: A warning is sent to the storage team.
  2. After 15 minutes: An escalated alert is sent to managers.
  3. After 30 minutes: The system triggers an emergency protocol to prevent product loss.

๐Ÿž๏ธ Smart Water Management

Rule: Missing Measurement Rule
๐Ÿ“Œ Scenario: A city installs LMs in water reservoirs to monitor levels. If no data is received for 2 hours, an alert is sent to the public utility department to inspect potential sensor failure or communication issues.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Construction Site Monitoring

Rule: Battery Level Rule
๐Ÿ“Œ Scenario: LMs are deployed in cement silos to monitor material levels. If the device battery drops below 10%, the maintenance team is notified to replace or recharge it before data transmission is lost.
